Promise Kids is a Sunday morning preschool environment for children birth-preschool. Our vision is to equip young children to be all that God designed them to be.  During their early childhood years, children are taught three key principles:

  • God Made Me
  • God Loves Me
  • Jesus Wants to be My Friend Forever

The Early Childhood Ministry of Christ Fellowship strives to create an environment where children experience the love of Christ through music, crafts, rich discussion and innovative storytelling through our digital puppetry theater.

Christ Fellowship’s Early Childhood Environments/FAQ:

Nursery (Birth-14 months)

Welcome to Promise Kids! We are honored that you are part of the Christ Fellowship family. We are passionate about children and their capacity to be world changers. We hope your experience at CF is memorable and is a blessing to your family.

If you are a first time visitor to Christ Fellowship, we encourage you to pre-register your child in the side bar. When you arrive on Sunday, be sure to stop by the Front Information Counter to receive a security name badge sticker for your little one.  Our Guest Services team members will be glad to answer any questions you might have and they will also escort you to your child’s ministry area.

Each Sunday, you will be greeted by our caring volunteers who will ask for special instructions for your child. A crying infant is common in any nursery program. Using the nursery on a consistent basis will help your child adjust more quickly. We want to encourage you to attend service if your child is going through an adjustment period. Our nursery volunteers will make every effort to help your child enjoy their experience. We also invite you to come check on them any time during the service.  If we need to contact you, your child’s security sticker number will be posted on the screens in the main service. This works great if we have a fussy baby in need of a parent.

To help your child feel comfortable in the nursery, please bring everything that he/she will need such as an extra bottle, diapers or special blanket and a change of clothing.  Label all of your child’s belongings so that we can make sure they leave with everything they came with.

When you feel the time is right for leaving your child in the nursery, we would like for you to leave them with a diaper bag.  Examples of things to include in your diaper bags are diapers and wipes, change of clothes, favorite toy or blanket, a pacifier, a bottle, and formula or breast milk.

You may notice a tag attached to your diaper bag after service. This tag is to help our volunteers care for your children with a little more knowledge of what your child likes. On the tag there is a space for your child’s name and the top three things that make them happy. On the other side of the tag are the Three Basic Truths that we teach in Promise Kids:  God Made Me, God Loves Me and Jesus Wants To Be My Friend Forever. These tags are designed to be removed for parents that don’t want to leave the tag on during the week, but can be reattached for Sunday mornings. We also have extra tags to replace them as your child grows and their likes change.

The nursery classrooms have cheerios or puffs available for snack time. We ask that outside food and bottles to be labeled with child’s name. If your child has allergies, please notify the volunteer each time at drop off.

We are so excited and can’t wait to meet you and your little one on Sunday morning!

Promise Kids has incredible environments that engage the kids in learning. In Promise Kids, we hope to inspire young children with a love for Jesus through creative storytelling, worship, crafts, and games.  Our innovative ministry also uses digital puppet theater to share Biblical stories and themes in a creative and unique way.

Our curriculum is called “My First Look”. Following that concept, we aim to help your child to learn three basic truths. By the time your child moves into Kindergarten, our goal is to have him/her believe:

God made me
God loves me
Jesus wants to be my friend forever

What is Promise Kids?

Promise Kids are fun, energetic environments that engage children at their age level. This program starts introducing the first impression of our Heavenly Father at a young age and continues to engage children through their preschool years. We start simple and as they grow, children will experience inspiring Bible stories, engaging worship along with arts, crafts, games and a ton of fun! The end result is a child being encouraged to believe that God Made Me, God Loves Me and Jesus Wants To Be My Friend Forever.

What is the safety procedure in Promise Kids?

We take safety very seriously. All children will be registered through our computer check-in system. Each child will receive a security name-tag along with the matching tag for one parent. All children MUST be wearing a security tag to enter a classroom. When the adult service is over, parents need to have the security tag in order to pick their child up from their assigned classrooms. Your prompt arrival will help your child to feel secure about your return the next time you leave.

What curriculum do we use in Promise Kids?

We teach a curriculum created by ReThink on www.whatisorange.org called First Look.

Is there a wellness policy in Promise Kids?

We ask that all children attending Promise Kids are healthy.  If your child has signs of illness such as a runny nose, cold, fever, cough or diarrhea, we request that you do not place your child in the program at that time.

Can I volunteer in Promise Kids?

Absolutely! Promise Kids is a wonderful place to get connected with a warm community of volunteers and invest in the next generation! We are always looking for cheerful and dedicated volunteers! You may also find out more about volunteering at CF here.

What can I do to reinforce my child’s learning at Home?
