Why should I give online?
Giving online is a personal preference. Here are a few reasons we feel online giving is a benefit to you.
- It helps prioritize and plan your giving.
- It helps simplify your giving.
- It allows you to give consistently.
How can I give online?
Through the steps taken on our Giving Tab, you may give online from your bank account, debit card or credit card (Visa, Master Card, or Discover).
If we want to help people get out of debt, why does Christ Fellowship accept the use of credit card giving?
When used as they were originally intended, debit and credit cards can be an efficient tool for payments and purchases. Many people use them in place of checks or cash, then payoff the balance in full each month. For these people, we offer the option of using a credit or debit card for tithes. We strongly discourage anyone with ongoing credit card debt from using their credit card to make a donation.
Is online giving secure?
Yes. We’ve taken steps to ensure that online giving is safe and secure. All of your giving data is secured by SSL encryption. SSL is an acronym for “Secure Socket Layer”, a security protocol that provides communications privacy over the Internet. It is the same technology used by banks and e-commerce companies such as Amazon.com to keep your information safe and secure during transactions. For more information concerning the security of your transaction, click here to visit the Easy Tithe security details. Christ Fellowship works with Easy Tithe to make sure your transaction processes smoothly.
Are there any fees involved with online giving?
You will not pay any fees with an online contribution.
If I want to set-up a recurring contribution, what are my options for the frequency of my gift?
Your scheduled contribution can be made one time, weekly, bi-weekly, bi-monthly or monthly .
Once I set up a scheduled contribution, can I change it or delete it? Select the Scheduled Giving Tab. In Scheduled Giving, you can disable your scheduled contribution, change your frequency, amount, banking information, or date.
I am not a regular attender or member, but I would like to make a contribution. Can I use Online Giving?
Yes. You can give a one-time gift with your bank account, debit card, or credit card (Visa, Master Card, or Discover).
How will I know that I set up my gift correctly?
Immediately after submitting your contribution, you will receive a message verifying your contribution.
When will contributions be taken from my account?
Contributions will be taken from your specified bank account within 48 business hours of the date you requested. This time frame allows the contribution to process through your bank and the church’s bank. If the date of your contribution falls on a weekend or a holiday, the transaction will be initiated on the next banking day.
How can I get a receipt of my online contribution?
You may print out your Giving History page as a valid receipt.
Will I still receive regular contribution statements from the church?
Yes. The church will continue to send year-end contribution statements to your address on file for tax purposes.
