{"id":1940,"date":"2025-01-26T02:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-01-26T02:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/christfellowship.me\/withholdtobehold\/?p=1940"},"modified":"2025-01-15T18:13:19","modified_gmt":"2025-01-15T18:13:19","slug":"day-21","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/christfellowship.me\/withholdtobehold\/2025\/01\/day-21\/","title":{"rendered":"Day 21"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Read Acts 27 &amp; 28<\/strong><br>John &amp; Donnie Mitchell<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paul knew he would be traveling to Rome when the Lord spoke to him one night and said, <em>\u201cBe encouraged, Paul.\u00a0 Just as you have been a witness to Me here in Jerusalem, you must preach the Good News in Rome as well.\u201d<\/em> <strong>(Acts 23:11)<\/strong> I would think Paul was pleased to hear that his longing to visit Rome <strong>(Romans 1:11)<\/strong> would be fulfilled.\u00a0 And yet, if I was traveling with Paul, I might question if this trip was what God intended.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Acts 27 and 28 describe Paul\u2019s journey to Rome in great detail. All the details of Paul\u2019s journey to Rome do not appear to have been included in the Lord\u2019s revelation to Paul.\u00a0 The normal one-month trip lasted about 6\u20139 months.\u00a0 It seems our enemy threw a lot of obstacles at Paul, trying to prevent what God had foretold.\u00a0 There is no hint that Paul might be second-guessing his decision to appear before the emperor.\u00a0 Paul hears a word of encouragement from an angel of God <strong>(Acts 27:23)<\/strong>, and all that the angel of God said came to pass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We all desire to hear from God about large and small things in our lives.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Consider these takeaways from these two chapters:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Trust God totally.
