I was reading something the other day when these words jumped off the page: \u201cHuman life is tailor-made for God.\u201d \u00a0These words moved something in my spirit, so I decided to go deeper.\u00a0 I decided to start at the beginning, Genesis.\u00a0 God said in Genesis 1:26<\/strong>, \u201cLet us make mankind in our own image.<\/em>\u201d \u00a0It also says the relationship between God and man was such that they walked together in the cool of the day. \u00a0Wow, what a relationship!\u00a0 This relationship created a space where the man and woman were naked and felt no shame.\u00a0 Can you imagine a world without fear, guilt, and shame;\u00a0mankind living as God intended, tailor-made for relationship with Him?\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Then, the relationship was broken by sin.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.<\/em> 1 Corinthians 15:22<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus Christ came to repair that broken relationship.\u00a0 His gospel (good news) was, \u201cRepent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand,\u201d <\/em>or change your mind, living in God\u2019s Kingdom (relationship) is now an option for you if you choose. Matthew 4:17<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I believe that God is calling us to life (relationship) in His Kingdom.\u00a0 Now, not later.\u00a0 Jesus further explains what it means to live in the Kingdom in the Sermon on the Mount.\u00a0 He ends the sermon by stating that if you choose to live in the Kingdom, you will be like a man who built his house on the rock.\u00a0 But if you choose not to live in the Kingdom, you will be like a man who built his house on the sand.\u00a0 He goes on to say that the (metaphorical) wind, rain, and waves came, and the house on the rock stood while the house on the sand collapsed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Do you want to be the one who builds their house on the rock?\u00a0 You can, you know. Jesus Christ has paved the way.\u00a0 He has explained what that looks like, and He concludes the explanation by saying that if you choose to live like you were \u201ctailor-made\u201d in the Kingdom, then you will stand. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.<\/em> John 10:10<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Contemplative prayer was described by a peasant farmer. When asked what he did during his long prayer time, he said, \u201cNothing, I look at Him, and He looks at me, and we are both happy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Take some time to spend with God in contemplative prayer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Prayer<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As you sit in God\u2019s Presence, ask Him, \u201cWhat area or areas in my life are You inviting me to move from the sand to the rock?\u201d \u00a0Ask and then just listen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
