CF will be partnering with Christian Appalachian Project in Martin KY to assist in repairs from recent flooding.
There are 3 ways you can participate:
1. Go!
Monday, 9/19: Depart from Christ Fellowship at 2:00 pm
Tuesday and Wednesday, 9/20-21: Work days
Thursday, 9/22: Work day and return to CF by approximately 8:30 pm
Most of the work at this point is transitioning from clean-up to repair. All skill levels, including no skill, are welcome. There are a few spots to serve in the kitchen cooking for the volunteers. Volunteers must be 18 or older. (If you are unable to attend all of these dates, but can attend partial dates, contact Cindy Cantrell at
cindycantrell0527@gmail.com to make arrangements. We will provide transportation for those departing on 9/19 and staying until Thursday). Meals will be provided by CAP. We will be staying in dormitory-style housing at CAP’s headquarters. There is no cost for this trip.
2. Gift card donations (see below)
If you are unable to attend, we will be collecting gift cards (increments of $50 or less) to Walmart or Lowe’s. You can drop these off at the church office or on Sundays at the Connection Counter (On 9/11 or 9/18).
3. Prayers for the team.
We appreciate all prayers for this trip: That the residents of Kentucky experience the love of Christ; that the trip participants are protected and are vessels of Christ’s love; and above all, that God is glorified in all ways on this trip!
